The new ACE Space is coming together nicely!

After a few weeks of hard work, the new ACE space is coming together nicely! So much more space than in the old location. Lots of little repairs and updates throughout but we're getting close! They are down to little things like fixing a few hallway lights and sorting out supplies for teachers!

Upper school electives are out! I asked about when after-school clubs come out and it sounded like probably in the next week or two. They intentionally space these out to keep it from getting too confusing.

My understanding is that the Game Dev Club (we'll brainstorm a cooler name with the kids) is the only club offered on Friday. This is both great and a bit scary! While no competition is AWESOME, I'm a bit worried that it being on Friday might run into parent resistance. I guess we will find out soon enough!

Also, I was excited to see multiple new students enrolling this week, including a few returning. Happy to see the new space going to good use!

Next week I hope to tackle one of the last, critical updates to the school: Improvements to the gaga ball pit! CRITICAL! The pit is in pretty good shape already but I'm going to look into sealing the top edge of the wood border to protect it from water and kids scraping their shoes over it. Should also keep it splinter free for the kids! I'm going to also see about making some access notches in the wall to make it easier for smaller kids to get in or out.
