Just warming up!

Welcome to MakeSome.Games! This site is being setup to support the upcoming Game Development Class being run as an after-school club at ACE Academy in Austin, TX. We're still in the early stages of planning the class but here is what we know so far:

• The club will be on Fridays after school and run until at least 5PM
• The current plan is for the club to be for kids 5-8th grade but 4th graders might be able to join if we have space
• Our semester goal is to go from nothing to a completed, multiplayer game!
• Kids don't need to know how to do anything other than listen and love computer games!
• Kids can use their own computer or use one provided by the class
• We'll be exposing the kids to all aspects of computer game development during the club but we'll let them focus on their favorite parts! Coding(Visual and scripts), art, audio, testing, design, and production will all be covered
• The amazing Mx Walker will be joined by 30+ year games industry veteran and proud ACE student dad, Chris Spears, in running the club!
• Since we'll have 2 instructors, we should be able to handle 10+ kids in the class!

Exactly what we focus on will depend on the kids in the class! We do intend to end the semester with something resembling a game that the kids help create and can play!
